Leadership Self-Assessment
Healthcare organizations depend on master’s prepared nurses as key leaders. They connect clinical practice and management decisions, work for ideal patient outcomes, and create healthy workplaces. Those leadership competencies include commitment and embracing evidence-based practice, and systems thinking to policy development among master’s prepared nurses. The purpose of this paper is to identify my leadership experience, leadership type, strengths, and development plans of leadership. It is based on the core competencies propounded by The American Organization for Nursing Leadership (AONL).
In my nursing practice, I have been in leadership ranks both formal and informal positions. In formal capacities, I served as a charge nurse, which meant assigning staff, managing caregivers, and handling staff disputes.
