In my practice we constantly encourage a holistic health assessment. Taking into account the spiritual, physical, emotional and mental aspects of a patients needs helps build a foundation of trust between the healthcare providers and the patients. A challenge I face in doing a holistic approach is exhaustion. Sometimes it can be hard to meet all of the patients needs. I may be focusing on the physical needs at that moment.
