As a baccalaureate-prepared nurse, I envision using the concepts learned in this course by first gathering relevant data to establish a patient’s state of health and also identify pertinent factors that could be affecting his/her well-being. Assessment in this task involves acquiring a comprehensive health history to identify past diseases and accidents, allergies, family health history, and effects of psychosocial factors on health.
