Step 2: After reflecting on your selected nurse’s story and professional contributions, answer the discussion prompts below.
Paragraph one: Consider the nurse you selected for this discussion. What do you find inspiring about the chosen nurse’s story and/or professional contributions?
Paragraph two: Powerful stories can motivate us to action, and often, small acts can create a big impact. What is one change you can make in your nursing practice to help create a more diverse and inclusive nursing culture?
Paragraph three: Think about the nursing profession 50 years from now. Regarding diversity and equal representation, what do you hope the profession looks like in the future, and what steps must be taken to get there?
