Intervention according to Nightingale:

Florence Nightingale emphasized the importance of minimizing unnecessary noise in patient care environments. According to her, intermittent sounds coupled with unexpected noises would do more damage to patients than steady background noise. During patient care, Nightingale cautioned medical staff to avoid waking patients when unnecessary because disturbed sleep increased their excitability and stretched their recovery duration alongside negative health consequences. Through detailed observations, Nightingale examined how the nature of hospital environments could help or obstruct patients in their recovery process from rest. Nurses needed to pay attention to their movements and vocalizations since minimal sounds could disrupt ill patients according to Nightingale.

Intervention according to current research:

Modern nursing interventions focus on reducing noise levels in hospitals by implementing “quiet hours,” using noise-reducing technologies and educating staff about the impact of noise pollution on patient outcomes. Care providers use multiple noise reduction approaches through sound-absorbing materials as well as soft-close mechanisms and assigned silent spaces. White noise machines alongside soothing background sounds are now implemented by hospitals as noise reduction measures that help patients achieve relaxation……………………………………………purchase the entire solution at $10 only
