History of Present Illness (HPI):
K.P. presents with worsening periodic headaches over the last few months. The pain is localized behind the left eye and is described as throbbing, reaching a severity of 8-10/10, which significantly impacts daily functioning. Initially, Tylenol and ibuprofen provided relief, but they are no longer effective. The patient currently manages the headaches by resting in a dark, quiet room.
The headaches are associated with nausea, vomiting, and photophobia. She reports increased academic and work-related stress and consumes 2-3 glasses of red wine to help cope. She notes that her mother experiences similar headaches.
Past Medical History (PMH):
- No previous diagnosis of migraines.

Pharmacologic care
